I just discovered a website dedicated to hosting livesets of DJ’s. Let’s Mix lets you upload your sets and people can listen to it. Just like soundcloud or is Music. Though nobody can download your sets, you can only listen to it. That might sound like a disadvantage but don’t give up on it yet. When your file is being uploaded, you can fill in the tracklisting. With artist and tracktitle and cuepoint, so when the public is listening to the mix, they can see which track is playing.
I’ve uploaded a set to it, just for the heck of it and it works well. But I do have to say, it’s a lot of work to build a tracklisting having to manually type in all that stuff. I have written a self-made program to help me listing up all the tracks, and get it in a nice list that I can paste anywhere I want. But at Let’s Mix you have to fill in each track individually, which is time consuming. Though, you can upload your Serato Scratch tracklisting, so it takes care of that for you.
Oh well. I’ve uploaded a set to it, to try it out, but for now, I won’t switch to it to upload my weekly sets. is Music isn’t as fancy as Let’s Mix, but it sure is a hell of a lot easier to get your mixes uploaded. Plus your fans can download your sets.
Check out Let’s Mix, my profilepage and the set I’ve uploaded!
And then go to is Music and download all of my weekly sets!
So, which one do you think is better?
By the way: I’m uploading a new set to is Music as we speak
