I’m using Logic Pro (Mac only), but this video did catch my eye. The new features in FL Studio 9.6 really look nice. So if you still think FL Studio is just a toy, think again! Enjoy the video below the break.  Continue reading »

BLACK Aftermovie

I have been filming at BLACK with my new cam which I’ve bought after some unknown bastard stole the handbag of a friend where my cam was in. My new cam can shoot in 720p resolution so it’s a nice quality. Unfortunately I can’t sing, so I had to overdub some sing-along moments haha!

BLACK 2010 was such a great party! I’ve heard great music! Had some good laughs, saw some friends which I rarely get to see because they live so far away, and over all I had a great night out! I’ve been sick in the past days because of being so tired after BLACK, but it was so worth it!

Enjoy the 18 minutes of BLACK. It’s on Facebook because Youtube doesn’t allow for more than 10 minutes of video. Continue reading »

Playing the decks with Traktor

Finally! After more then 2 weeks I’ve recieved my order. Blame TNT Post for the delay. Returned my order 3 times to the webshop before I mailed them a link to my adress at Navteq. How unprofessional of TNT Post to have the customer mail them driving instructions. Oh well.

I’m now mixing the beats with the help of my laptop. No more burning CD’s, no more searching for the right disc… I love it!
The next step’s a MIDI controller to control the effects of Traktor. But for now I’m really happy with my decision to go digital.

I also won an AmericanDJ Shooting Star LED. Great to mix the beats like you’re in a dancing! ;) Haha.

I’ve ordered my gear at Bax-Shop.nl. It was packaged nicely, so nothing could be damaged. It’s a pitty TNT Post failed to deliver my order faster, because I had to go to BLACK without the earplugs I’d ordered.

Oh well. I’m a happy man now. Now I can concentrate on delivering you your weekly mix again!

Let’s Mix!

I just discovered a website dedicated to hosting livesets of DJ’s. Let’s Mix lets you upload your sets and people can listen to it. Just like soundcloud or is Music. Though nobody can download your sets, you can only listen to it. That might sound like a disadvantage but don’t give up on it yet. When your file is being uploaded, you can fill in the tracklisting. With artist and tracktitle and cuepoint, so when the public is listening to the mix, they can see which track is playing.

I’ve uploaded a set to it, just for the heck of it and it works well. But I do have to say, it’s a lot of work to build a tracklisting having to manually type in all that stuff. I have written a self-made program to help me listing up all the tracks, and get it in a nice list that I can paste anywhere I want. But at Let’s Mix you have to fill in each track individually, which is time consuming. Though, you can upload your Serato Scratch tracklisting, so it takes care of that for you.

Oh well. I’ve uploaded a set to it, to try it out, but for now, I won’t switch to it to upload my weekly sets. is Music isn’t as fancy as Let’s Mix, but it sure is a hell of a lot easier to get your mixes uploaded. Plus your fans can download your sets. ;)

Check out Let’s Mix, my profilepage and the set I’ve uploaded!

And then go to is Music and download all of my weekly sets!

So, which one do you think is better?

By the way: I’m uploading a new set to is Music as we speak ;)
